History
1913
During the opening of the train station Scuol-Tarasp on the 13. July 1913 there the hotel Terminus was already planed and opened in 1914
1927 - 1985
Due to the World War 2 the Terminus did open only in 1927. In 1975 the Hotel Terminus Scuol AG did buy the hotel and sold it in 1977 to Arthur Scussel who lead the Teminus to-gether with his wife for quite some time.
1985
In May 1985 Arthur Scussel did tear down the terminus with out permission.
In the following year the ground has been sold to several different owners
1993
The new beginning: Oktober 14th 1993 Edwin A. Lehmann did buy the ground in order to fulfil his dream of his own Hotel. Already four days later the construction started based on the plans of the architecture bureau Garraux & Hunziker AG in Samedan.
1994
December 17 1994 the hotel Altana has been opened. The name refers to the German and or Rumansch word of a balcony which is over viewing the landscape in front. As the Altana is buit abov the town on a kind of natural terrace and as the house itself has a lot of balconies the name seamed kind of suitable.
